Hot take on "vibe coding" and "embracing exponentials": the only thing that will grow exponentially is your technical debt.
You might be able to ship something that works, barely held together by spaghetti code that you don't understand, but when the time comes to actually serve clients, the castle of cards will fall and you will regret your choice.
There might come a future were AI is better than any software engineer, but that future is not now.
Also, "generating code with AI is so cheap that I can just generate it over and over until it works" is a lie. Generative AI is only cheap because it is being sold at a loss, and as models become bigger and more complex, it will only become more expensive to run them.
